Fish Lake Relay Details


When:

The Fish Lake Relay will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011. Starting

times will be staggered and will be based on each teams average 10K pace.

The first teams will start at the lodge at 7:00 am with waves of teams

starting every 15 minutes thereafter.

Who:

The race will include up to 75 teams of six individual runners. Each team

will be required to cover just over 60 miles from the Fish Lake lodge to

Richfield. The race is divided into 12 separate legs with each runner

required to run two legs.

Where:

The race will begin at the historic Fish Lake Lodge at around 8,000 feet

above sea level. The Fish Lake lodge is the oldest lodge pole structure

of its kind of its size west of the Mississippi and sits on the shores of

beautiful Fish Lake.

The Course:

From the Lodge, the course will proceed north along Highway 25 to

Johnson’s Reservoir. From there runners will travel north and west along

the Gooseberry road through some of the most scenic areas of the Fishlake

National Forest. The course makes its way parallel to Interstate 70 into

Salina as it travels through some of central Utah’s high desert and red

rock. From Salina, runners will travel canal and side roads into

Richfield.

Divisions:

There are six different divisions for the race as follows: Men, Women,

Co-Ed, Master Men, Master Women and Master Co-Ed. Co-Ed teams must have

at least three women and Master teams must have participants who are all

over the age of 40.

Entry Fee:

Registration fees are $200.00 per team and include race entry, t-shirt,

and participation medal.

Prizes:

Prizes will be awarded to the top two teams in each division. T-shirts

and participation medals will be provided to all participants. There will

also be special prizes offered in the best team name category and best

decorated van category.

TEAM MEMBER INFORMATION:

In consideration of your accepting this entry, I, the undersigned,

intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my family, my heirs,

executors, and administrators, forever waive, release and discharge any

and all rights and claims for damages and causes of suit or action, known

or unknown, that I may have against the Fish Lake Relay, the Richfield

Area Chamber of Commerce, Sevier County, Richfield City, Salina City, the

Fishlake National Forest, the Bureau of Land Management, the Fish Lake

Relay committee members, event officials and volunteers, all sponsors of

the Relay, and related Relay Events and their officers, directors, agents

and representatives for any and all injuries suffered by me in this

event.

I understand that police protection will not be provided and both vehicle

traffic and spectators will be present along the course. I attest that I

am physically fit, am aware of the dangers & precautions that must be

taken when running in warm or cold conditions, & have sufficiently

trained for the completion of this event. I also agree to abide by any

decision of an appointed Relay or medical official relative to my ability

to safely continue or complete the Relay. I further assume and will pay

my own medical expenses in the event of an accident, illness, or other

incapacity regardless of whether I have authorized such expense. Further,

I hereby grant full permission to the Sawtooth Relay and/or agents hereby

authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures,

recording, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose

at any time without compensation. ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST SIGN REGISTRATION FORM.
